
Salome Modebadze – Pianist
Salome Modebadze completed her studies at the Tbilisi Z. Paliashvili Central Music School under the tutelage of Nino Katamadze with high distinction. During her education, she participated in numerous national and international competitions.
In 2020, she earned her Bachelor's degree from the V. Sarajishvili Conservatory and completed her Master's degree in 2023. She played an active role in several projects organized by the conservatory. One of her notable performances includes the successful presentation of Rachmaninoff's 3rd Piano Concerto with the student orchestra, conducted by Revaz Javakhishvili, on December 5, 2018.
In 2017, Salome was invited to the international festival at the Moscow P. Tchaikovsky Conservatory. She has also attended masterclasses by renowned musicians such as Eliso Virsaladze, Elizabet Leonskaia, Natalia Truli, Grigori Gruzman, Edisher Savitski, and Fulvio Turissini, further enriching her musical development.
Throughout her career, Salome has been awarded in various competitions:
- 1st Prize at the Tbilisi International Young Pianist Competition – 2014
- 3rd Prize at the Georgia Music Performers Competition – 2014
- Liza Leonskaia Special Award – 2015
- 1st Prize at the Marmaris International Piano Competition – 2014
- 1st Prize at the Baku International Piano Competition – 2015
- 1st Prize at the San Danielo International Piano Competition, Italy – 2015
- 1st Prize at the Riga International Piano Competition, Latvia – 2017
- 1st Prize at the T. Amirejibi International Piano Competition, Borjomi, Georgia – 2017
- Special Audience Award at the Canada International Piano Competition – 2021
Salome Modebadze frequently collaborates with the Georgian State String Quartet and Symphony Orchestra. One of her recent performances that gained significant attention was her concert with the Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra on November 16, 2022, featuring Mozart's 26th Piano Concerto at the Jansuğ Kakhidze Music Center.
On April 14, 2023, Salome made her debut performance in Istanbul at the Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall, performed Bach double pıano concertos with Tutu Aydınoğlu.
Starting in 2024, Salome Modebadze has been teaching at the Istanbul University State Conservatory.
