Gürcü piyanist Irakli Chumburidze, 1985 yılında Tiflis’te doğmuştur. 1992-2003 yılları arasında Gürcistan’daki Tiflis Z. Paliashvili Müzik Okulu’nda, Profesör Manana Baratashvili ve Lali Rcheulishvili’nin öğrencisi olmuştur. Chumburidze, sahneye ilk defa beş yaşındayken çıkmış ve yedi yaşında orkestrayla birlikte performans sergileyerek, Handel’in piyano ve oda orkestrası için yazılmış konçertosunu seslendirmiştir.

2003 yılında, Tiflis V. Sarajishvili Devlet Konservatuvarı’nda Prof. Revaz Tavadze’nin sınıfında eğitimini tamamlayarak 2007 yılında diplomasını almıştır. Aynı yıl, kazandığı tam bursla birlikte eğitimini ünlü piyanist Prof. Dmitri Alexeev’in rehberliğinde, Londra’daki saygın bir eğitim kurumu olan Royal College of Music’te sürdürmüştür.

2011 yılında Almanya’ya taşınan Chumburidze, Hochschule für Musik Freiburg’da ünlü piyanist Prof. Michael Leuschner ile eğitimine devam etmiştir.

Irakli Chumburidze, barok dönemden çağdaş döneme kadar geniş bir repertuara sahip olup, solo, oda müziği, piyano konçertoları ve düetlerini de kapsayan birçok eseri sahnelemiştir.

Chumburidze, uluslararası piyano yarışmalarında kazandığı ödüllerle de tanınmaktadır. Katıldığı bazı yarışmalar şunlardır:

• International Piano Competition for Young Musicians (Hollanda, Enschede)
• Rome International Piano Competition
• Leeds and Scottish International Piano Competitions

Irakli Chumburidze, Gürcistan, Türkiye, İngiltere, İskoçya, Hollanda, İspanya, İtalya, İsviçre, Çin ve Tayvan gibi farklı ülkelerde pek çok resital vermiştir.

Aynı zamanda bir besteci olan Chumburidze, Gürcü halk müziği ve cazdan ilham alarak piyano ve oda müziği için eserler bestelemektedir. İlk bestelerinden biri olan "Variations op.1", 2014 yılında ilk kez seslendirilmiş ve büyük beğeni kazanmıştır.

Chumburidze, şu anda İstanbul Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuvarı'nda eğitim vermektedir ve öğrencileri çeşitli uluslararası piyano yarışmalarında dereceler kazanmaktadır.

Georgian pianist Irakli Chumburidze was born in 1985 in Tbilisi. Between 1992 and 2003, he studied at the Tbilisi Z. Paliashvili Music School, under the guidance of Professors Manana Baratashvili and Lali Rcheulishvili. Chumburidze made his stage debut at the age of five, and at seven, he performed with an orchestra, playing Handel’s Piano Concerto for Piano and Chamber Orchestra.

In 2003, Chumburidze completed his studies at the Tbilisi V. Sarajishvili State Conservatory in the class of Prof. Revaz Tavadze and graduated in 2007. That same year, he won a full scholarship to continue his studies at the prestigious Royal College of Music in London with renowned pianist Prof. Dmitri Alexeev.

In 2011, Chumburidze moved to Germany, where he studied at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg with renowned pianist Prof. Michael Leuschner.

Chumburidze has a wide repertoire that spans from the Baroque period to contemporary works, including solo performances, chamber music, piano concertos, and duets.

Irakli Chumburidze has participated in numerous international piano competitions and has won several awards. Some of the competitions he has participated in include:

Chumburidze has performed recitals in Georgia, Turkey, the UK, Scotland, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, China, and Taiwan.

In addition to being a performer, Chumburidze is also a composer. Drawing inspiration from Georgian folk music and jazz, he composes works for piano and chamber music. One of his first compositions, "Variations op.1," was performed for the first time in 2014 and received great acclaim from the audience.

Chumburidze is currently teaching at the Istanbul University State Conservatory, and his students have won awards in various international piano competitions.
